24 Hours to Go
In 24 hours, we will be loading up the van with our luggage and travel gear. Oh boy!!
This is pretty much the most perfect day ever. It's currently 78 degrees in Columbus, beautiful clear blue skies, 0% humidity and a decent cool breeze is blowing. It's almost cold in the shade and hot in the sun, like a perfect fall day. The windows are open and we are finishing up our packing.
DJ decided a nap was not in his plans. So he did some "quiet time" in his room while we kept packing and cleaning.
I think we are going to make it with 2 carry on suitcases, 2 backpacks, a diaper bag and DJ's hiking backpack. We have another carry on suitcase if needed, but hopefully we will not. We are bringing the single stroller-it's making its second Europe trip! This graco stroller is a beast.
I'm starting to get really excited. Seems like this trip is really going to happen! We were up late last night and I could hardly sleep. I'm guessing tonight will go similarly.
I just said "Literally, this time tomorrow we will be packing up our van, Michael". I can't believe it!!! I am so thankful for this opportunity. I came across Amos 4:13 recently and it struck me in a special way, surely because of the mention of mountains. But this is exactly why I love seeing God's creation--how great is he!! I am looking forward to what God has in store for us to experience together and what he wants to do in our hearts on this trip.
We may be able to check out a Bible study in Austria where we have some contacts. There is also a place I want to check out in Zurich. And we have made a friend in Munich who has offered to host/meet with us.
